Izegem, Belgium, July 2010 - Skyline Communications, global leader in multi-vendor network management solutions for the IPTV, HFC broadband, broadcast and satellite industry, is bringing DataMiner 6.5 of its awarded and globally deployed DataMiner network management platform to IBC 2010.
Skyline Communications Key Products on Display at IBC2010
DataMiner 6.5 is the latest major update to Skyline’s award-winning and internationally deployed DataMiner Network Management System platform and will be demonstrated for the first time at IBC2010. This release includes a host of innovations that enable operators to manage their networks of multi-vendor technologies more efficiently than ever before. Updates include the new DataMiner Cube UI, the latest version of the DataMiner CPE Manager, and a new version of DataMiner’s service management technology.
DataMiner Cube UI
This groundbreaking new user interface is the industry’s first that applies state-of-the-art user-centric design principles that will redefine the way operators interact with the most complex multi-vendor ecosystems. The new DataMiner Cube UI enables operators to interact with their entire operational ecosystem end-to-end with greater speed and efficiency than previously available in conventional UIs. DataMiner Cube UI features various industry firsts including user-definable drag ‘n drop capabilities, real-time and historical graphing, and intuitive system navigation methods.
DataMiner CPE Manager
By mining valuable key performance data from every single CPE object (such as set-top boxes, cable & DSL modems, eMTAs, etc.), at speeds approaching 3,000 elements per second, DataMiner CPE Manager enables the DataMiner platform to provide an extremely detailed and precise look at every element that can impact a network’s performance. DataMiner CPE Manager uses cross-correlation analysis to compare the vast amount of operational data it has collected against a comprehensive, multi-dimensional system model - in real-time - ensuring that DataMiner locates the root-cause of any operational problem with surgical precision at the moment it happens. This real-time monitoring and analysis of resources generates considerable operational savings and improved subscriber satisfaction, both vital to any operator in growing and competitive multi-platform markets like HFC broadband and IPTV.
DataMiner Service Management Technology
The latest version of the consolidated service management technology enables operators to efficiently manage services within their highly complex, multi-vendor ecosystems. The solution automatically analyzes the entire operational ecosystem, across vendor and technology boundaries, and generates services according to the user-defined business logic. Service management includes dynamic service tracking, real-time SLA tracking, MS Visio graphical service presentations, automated root-cause-analysis and much more. Operators managing digital headends, satellite links, terrestrial networks, MPLS networks, or service-quality monitoring solutions with transport stream analyzers and probes are among the users who will benefit from this latest innovation.
