DataMiner 2.5 Sentinel Release
Izegem, Belgium – Today, version 2.5 Sentinel, of the DataMiner monitoring and control platform has been released. With the Sentinel release, Skyline reconfirms the superiority of the DataMiner solution, by adding numerous new features and enhancements, which allow the DataMiner controlled environments throughout various industries to further drive down their operational expenses, while increasing reliability and availability of their services.
“First, the DataMiner Sentinel platform has been prepared for the new DMS Spectrum Analysis plug-in, which will be released early 2004. This new tool will also be licensed as a stand-alone application. DMS Spectrum Analysis will allow remote RF spectrum performance monitoring with any spectrum analyzer device, from any vendor. Other eye-catching changes are undoubtedly the impressive e-mail reports, which allow users to distribute crystal-clear reports, with essential data about the performance of their technical infrastructure, by e-mail,” explained Bert Vandenberghe, Software R&D Manager of Skyline Communications. “But aside from those changes there are numerous others in the Sentinel release, such as the extended application of our Quick Filter technology, the introduction of ‘DMS Production Drivers’ that allows users to manage and update drivers for thousands of devices in a matter of seconds. Behind the screens, we also implemented some fairly advanced caching techniques which pushed the performance even beyond its already superb level.”
