DataMiner Release Seminar 2010, the prelude of a next major milestone in multi-vendor network management.

Izegem, Belgium, June 2010 - Last week, on Thursday 24th and Friday 25th of June, Skyline Communications has held the already 6th edition of its annual DataMiner Release Seminar. The event took place in Brussels this year, and attracted more than 140 delegates from more than 20 different countries, representing more than 50 renowned operators. As tradition dictates, the event served as a platform for the exclusive preview of the upcoming major release of the leading DataMiner multi-vendor network management platform, case studies, networking with industry peers and hands-on workshops.

During the preview of the next major DataMiner software release -which will be presented to the general public at IBC2010- Skyline revealed a wealth of enhancements in the area of alarm management, automatic root cause analysis, service templates for automated service detection across complex multi-vendor ecosystems, new integration technologies oriented towards bulk data sources, new automation capabilities including innovative interactive scripting. But the spotlight was also shared with the next version of the already renowned DataMiner Cube user interface. DataMiner Cube is an entirely new graphical user interface designed by Skyline based on the concept of user-centric design, and which is set to redefine how operators can interact with vast complex technology ecosystems, end-to-end across all vendor boundaries.

During the second half of the first day, renowned corporations such as Stratos Global, Skylogic, Tektronix , Gateway Communications, Gazprom Space Systems and Bridge Technologies presented case studies on how they use the DataMiner multi-vendor network management platform in their ecosystems. And for the first time this year, attendants could also join for a variety of work shop sessions on the second day, allowing them to get a first taste of the new software features and capabilities that were presented.
