Brutélé boosts their operations with DataMiner.
Izegem, Belgium - Skyline announced that Brutélé, a leading HFC broadband operator active in the Brussels area, as well as in Wallonia, is deploying DataMiner as an umbrella management layer for its operations. The deal will enable Brutélé to integrate a wide variety of equipment and systems into a single platform, to further increase the efficiency of the operations, and the quality of the services offered to their customers. DataMiner is now to become the principle user interface for engineers and operators throughout the organization, including the operators in the Network Operations Center in Brussels overseeing the high-tech activities.
“We are delighted with this decision of Brutélé, and we are very dedicated to assist them in making their monitoring and control environment a state-of-the-art infrastructure, prepared to compete in tomorrow’s market,” said Ben Vandenberghe, Sales Director at Skyline Communications. “Aside from the traditional HFC broadband activities, Brutélé is also a leading player in the supply of telecom services, including leased lines, dark fibers, IP connectivity, and more. This of course makes the project even more appealing for a solution such as DataMiner, which allows hosting that telecom equipment under the same umbrella. With DataMiner in place Brutélé can rest assured that there are no limits and no exceptions, only new opportunities.“
“We have been on the look for a suitable monitoring and control application for quite a while, until finallySkyline presented DataMiner, a solution which truly stands out. It enables us to capture any aspect from our extensive operations in a single screen, and the powerful features, such as the MS Visio based Visual Overview allows us to graphically present our systems in a dynamic, layered structure. The comprehensive security layer of DataMiner then allows us to manage precisely which parts of the system can be accessed by different operators and engineers,” added Orlando Rucci, Technical Director at Brutélé.
In the next release, DataMiner will feature a unique service layer, which allows a more efficient service-centric, as opposed to device-centric, approach on the monitoring of the technical infrastructure. DMS Services will allow operators to view the system status in terms of service availability, and service degradation, which will greatly enhance the efficient deployment of available resources. Technical engineers will then be able to analyze, based on service issues, which underlying physical devices are involved, and how to return the service to optimal condition. This type of business / revenue oriented approach will allow operators, such as Brutélé, to maximize the return with their existing technical infrastructures, across vendor boundaries.
DataMiner is the most innovative and cost-effective monitoring and control solution, specifically designed for the HFC broadband, satellite, broadcast and telecom industry to remotely manage and control every aspect of the technical infrastructure. DataMiner offers you the ultimate scalability, and is capable of handling everything from small systems to large, corporate deployments. DataMiner features an open, standards-based architecture based on advanced web interfaces, and renders all your proprietary devices into fully SNMP compatible units. DataMiner can be interfaced with any third party device, independent it's interface, and drivers can be modified or created by anybody.
