DataMiner Business Intelligence

With the DataMiner Business Intelligence (DMS-BI) solutions, DataMiner provides operators with the tools to manage their entire technical environment from a true business perspective. DMS-BI is build on top of the renowned DataMiner Service Management (DMS-SM) technology, which allows operators to build a service management layer on top of the physical device layer, and as a result to rely on DataMiner to dynamically track the services through the operational environment. DataMiner Service Management offers operators real-time service impact analysis and historical service performance reporting.

DMS-BI takes it a step further, and now allows operators to track the performance of those services in real-time, and to issue early warnings when Service Level Agreements (SLA) are getting close to being breached. DMS-BI provides powerful algorithms to define SLA’s, and the technology can easily be updated without software upgrades to accommodate virtually any SLA contract definitions. When SLA’s degrade or close in on user-defined thresholds, DMS-BI is capable of instantly notifying key personnel such that appropriate actions can be taken to protect your business.

On top of the real-time SLA tracking and alarming, DMS-BI provides a plethora of historical performance data presented with intuitive graphs. The historical SLA service performance can easily be pulled from a web interface, can be published in third party web environments including secured Internet websites accessible for key customers, or can be pushed to various levels of the account management chain via e-mail reports triggered by a time schedule or system events.

DMS-BI is the first solution in the industry, which tracks SLA’s in real-time and provides comprehensive SLA performance information, for dynamic services in the high-tech multi-vendor environments of the HFC broadband, satellite, IPTV and broadcast industry. The solution is expected to drastically reduce operational expenses, while increasing visibility on the true business performance, allowing operators to supply a much higher level of service quality and to optimize the business results by allocating available technical resources and investments to the issues that have the largest impact on revenues.
