DataMiner Application Engineer M/F

The position of DataMiner Application Engineer at Skyline Communications puts you in charge of deploying DataMiner systems in the HFC Broadband, broadcast, satellite and telecom market. For major international companies you will provide engineering services required to deploy DataMiner systems.

Functions:

• Provide engineering services.
• Development of drivers to interface DataMiner with third party devices.
• Provide telephone support and/or on-site technical support.
• Assist with installations.
• Troubleshoot systems.
• Design test routines in C#.
• Assist with testing of new candidate release software.
• Identify requirements for new releases.

Education, experience and skills required:

• Preferably native French speaker, or alternatively fluently written and oral skills in French language
• Solid written and oral language skill in English. Knowledge of Dutch is an asset but not a must.
• Solid and profound knowledge of MS Windows OS family (2000 Professional, XP Professional, 2003 Server) is a must.
• Solid and profound knowledge of TCP/IP networks (IP adressing, routing, firewall, VPN, VLAN's, etc...) is a must. Specific experience with principal equipment vendors such as Cisco is an asset, as well as troubleshooting networks.
• Knowledge of the .Net environment and C# is a must.
• Previous experience or knowledge about the technical environment of satellite teleports, HFC broadband systems, broadcast facilities and/or telecom systems is a strong asset.
• Knowledge about or experience with HTML, XML, client/server systems, SNMP... Are strong assets.
• Strong oral and written communications skills are an asset as well.
• Motivation and passion for exploring and learning new software technologies on the fly.

Software Developer

Functions:

• Designing and developing software applications with Visual Studio .NET in a young and dynamic team.

Education, experience and skills required:

• Good knowledge of Visual C++ and C#, Win32 api, MFC and .NET Framework.
• Solid knowledge of MS Windows OS family (2000,XP,2003) and Visual Studio .NET is a must.
• Experience with relational databases is an asset.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, Web Services, .NET Remoting and multithreading is an asset.
• Knowledge of or being prepared to learn one or more of the following technologies: HTML, XML, ASP.NET, ... is a must.

Regional Sales Manager – France

The position of Sales Manager for France at Skyline Communications puts you in charge of overseeing all of our commercial activities in France. You will be the face of the company in France, fostering the existing relationships and further growing the business by developing new opportunities in that exciting territory.

Functions:

• Fostering existing relationships and developing new opportunities in the French HFC broadband, broadcast, satellite and telecommunications industry.
• Identify the needs of the customers and work with them to meet their requirements
• Liaise between your customers and the office in Belgium to provide input for the marketing and R&D teams
• Occasionally be available for traveling abroad (outside of France)

Education, experience and skills required:

• Preferably native French speaker, or alternatively fluently written and oral skills in French language
• Solid written and oral language skills in English
• Located in the Northern part of France
• Experience in HFC broadband, broadcast, satellite and/or telecommunications industry
• Solid understanding of software technologies in general
• An interest or experience with RF engineering is an asset
