Skyline Communications delivers DataMiner solutions to Astro


 Skyline Communications, the global leader in end-to-end multi-vendor network management, OSS and orchestration software solutions for the ICT, media and broadband industry, announces that Astro (Measat Broadcast Network Systems Sdn Bhd), Malaysia’s leading content and entertainment company, has selected Skyline’s award-winning DataMiner solution for the management of incoming feeds on all layers including content, infrastructure and business.

Astro serves 5.7 million homes or 74% of Malaysian TV households, 8,300 enterprises, 17 million weekly radio listeners (FM and digital), 14 million digital monthly unique visitors (“MUV”) and 2.8 million shoppers across its TV, radio, digital and commerce platforms. Astro’s pay-TV service is available in Malaysia and Brunei.

The agreement includes configuration and delivery of the AI-powered state-of-the-art DataMiner Monitoring and Control system, managing the linear feed acquisition process, along with Skyline’s flagship Service and Resource Management (SRM) orchestration module, to support flexible workflow-based ad-hoc feed acquisition booking processes, which are to be scheduled both via manual user input and automatically through schedules extracted from Astro’s MAM platform.
